American Red Cross Expands Flood Relief Efforts
The American Red Cross continues to aid residents affected by last weekend's flooding in Pike County. Damage assessments have been conducted reflecting approximately 200 homes with significant damage.
Since Sunday, American Red Cross workers have been providing immediate emergency assistance including sheltering, feeding, and the distribution of bulk cleaning items. Approximately 30 Red Cross staff and volunteers have been in the area as of noon Wednesday with more expected to arrive over the next two days.

The American Red Cross is also beginning a disaster relief operation in Carter County in response to Tuesday and Wednesday's rains.
