International Services
In times of natural or humanitarian disasters worldwide, your local Red Cross is here to provide international families a wide range of services including tracing, Red Cross messages, and reunification. When families are separated due to any type of disaster, they feel as if they are "worlds apart." The Red Cross is here to help bring those worlds back together again.
International Services is involved in a number of community projects, fairs, and classes on international humanitarian law and other topics. International Services coordinates World Red Cross Day celebrations each year at the Lexington Children's Museum, which features artwork from local refugee children.
Thanks to the volunteer efforts of regional skilled professionals, the Bluegrass Chapter offers psycho-social support to refugees and their sponsors. If you would like to help, please call the chapter at (859) 253-1331.
