Mission Accomplished
 

The Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross celebrated its successful Fayette County Heroes Campaign on Thursday, April 17 at 5:30 P.M. at the Griffin Gate Marriott.  The Heroes Campaign, chaired by Alan Stein, is a community awareness and fundraising drive that ran February 25 through March 24.  Thirty-three community leaders served as captains and helped the local Red Cross exceed its $80,000 goal, raising $105,785.

 

In addition to the fundraising aspect, participants of the campaign were eligible to nominate an individual who has made a significant, positive impact on Fayette County.  The following eighteen individuals were nominated for the 2008 Fayette County “Hero of the Year”:
